The Screwtape Letters is a Christian apologetic novel. It is written in a satirical, epistolary style and while it is fictional in format, the plot and characters are used to address Christian theological issues, primarily those to do with temptation and resistance to it. The story takes the form of a series of letters from a senior Demon Screwtape to his nephew Wormwood, a Junior Tempter. The uncle's mentorship pertains to the nephew's responsibility for securing the damnation of a British man known only as "the Patient". In The Screwtape Letters, C. S. Lewis provides a series of lessons in the importance of taking a deliberate role in Christian faith by portraying a typical human life, with all its temptations and failings, seen from devils' viewpoints. Lewis wrote the sequel Screwtape Proposes a Toast - a critique of certain trends in British public education (Although Britain calls its major private schools "public schools", Lewis is referring to state schools when he criticizes "public education"). Clive Staples Lewis (1898-1963) was a British novelist, poet, academic, medievalist, lay theologian and Christian apologist. He is best known for his fictional work, especially The Screwtape Letters, The Chronicles of Narnia, and The Space Trilogy, and for his non-fiction Christian apologetics, such as Mere Christianity, Miracles, and The Problem of Pain.

Randy Alcorn's gripping new masterpiece delivers us from ignorance of the devil's schemes. Foulgrin, a high-ranking demon, instructs his subordinate on how to deceive and destroy Jordan Fletcher and his family. It's like placing a bugging device in hell's war room, where we overhear our enemies assessing our weaknesses and strategizing attack. Lord Foulgrin's Letters is a Screwtape Letters for our day, equally fascinating yet distinctly different-a dramatic story with earthly characters, setting, and plot. A creative, insightful, and biblical depiction of spiritual warfare, this book will guide readers to Christ-honoring counterstrategies for putting on the full armor of God and resisting the devil. Alcorn says to win the battle we must know our God, know ourselves, and know our enemy. Lord Foulgrin's Letters, in unparalleled and compelling fashion, helps us better know each.

"The American Senator" by Anthony Trollope contains one of his most memorable character creations in Arabella Trefoil, whose determination to find a wealthy husband at any cost lies at the heart of this story. The Senator of the title, Elias Gotobed, is attempting to learn more about England and the English, and through his eyes Trollope is able to parody many aspects of English life and customs. Themes of romance, ambition, marriage, as well as a host of humorous characters - "The American Senator" contains all of the key ingredients which make up a Trollope tale. Anthony Trollope (1815 – 1882) was a Victorian writer and author of 47 novels. He also wrote an autobiography, short stories and plays, travel articles, reviews and lectures. A prolific writer, he made no secret of the fact that money was his motivation for writing – an admission which raised eyebrows among his literary contemporaries at the time. The amount of works Trollope authored are testament to his belief in hard work. His first successful novel was The Warden followed by its sequel, Barchester Towers. The Chronicles of Barsetshire are perhaps his most well-known series of novels, though many of his works have been adapted for TV and radio, starring many familiar faces such as Alan Rickman, David Tennant, Bill Nighy and Tom Hollander. Alongside his literary career, Trollope also worked for some time for the Post Office and is credited with the introduction of the iconic post box to Britain. A memorial to Anthony Trollope was unveiled in Poets’ Corner in Westminster Abbey in 1993.

Social media has recently been overtaken by stories of government conspiracy, complicated webs of pedophilia and human trafficking, and secret groups of Satanists running the world. Overnight, stories that previously only existed in forums and anonymous blogs were now being shared by thousands of people, including those we know, love, and respect. More and more people are insisting that believers "wake up" to the evil around us, but is that what believers are called to? Should the focus of a believer be about obtaining more knowledge? How does the Gospel compel us to respond to evil? Are our only options to know more or to ignore it altogether? Or does Jesus move us in an entirely different direction? We have to reframe what we "know" around the bigger story : The Story of God and His People. And that story isn't just a story about good beating evil, it's a story of redemption and hope. If what you've been exposed to through friend or through social media, has made you fearful, panicked, and restless, this book will fill you with hope, expectation, and joy as you recenter your mind and your heart around the Gospel.

The Pilgrim's Regress is a book of allegorical fiction. It charts the progress of a main character named John through a philosophical landscape in search of the Island of his desire. He struggles with the modern phoniness, hypocrisy and intellectual vacancy of the Christian church, Communism, Fascism and various philosophical and artistic movements. It balances Lewis's Neoplatonic mindset with a Kierkegaardian faith-based understanding.
